RIP Tastespotting....

It dawned on me that it seems like I'm always blogging about something I'm obsessed with.

Well, one of my dearest obsessions, Tastespotting, seems to be playing a cruel Friday the 13th joke. I signed on for my latest viewing of the tastiest culinary creations around the web and saw this message:Say its not so!

  5. I'm just so bummed by this! I have been reading Tastespotting almost every single day for months!

There is someone who has already started to upgrade their site, though, to do almost exactly the same thing--I'll keep you posted!

  6. I've found myself on the verge of visiting the site a couple times a day. Guess its just old habit!

Elle - definitely keep us posted about the potential new site! I wonder if you're restricted to only posting your own photos, it'd help with some of the copyright issues...

It is a shame! I just got a couple of pix posted there.

    It is truly a shame.

  8. I'm completely bummed about it too. I visited several times a day. Can't wait to see if someone else takes this on.

I can't believe you guys went veg! That's almost as bad as giving up carbs and wine for three weeks before my beach vacation!! Good luck w/ that :)

  10. Ok, check out Recipes2Share, and click on Gallery in the menu bar. You have to sign up to submit, just like with TS, but once you do, submitting is just as easy.

Still in early stages, so please be patient. (not my site, but let's hope it can be as big as TS!)

  16. There's an update on their site: "In trying to resolve this situation, TasteSpotting.com is in the process of having a new owner. She would like you to know that "we're just marinating a bit longer, but tastespotting will be back shortly..." Yay!

Flanboyant Eats - thanks for sending the sauce...I CANNOT wait! :)
